"Surrender at Picacho Peak" by Mike Blevins; Limited edition.
Fits any standard 16"x20" frame.
Subject: Arizona desert grasses conceal the hazy but distinguishable image of a 300-year old Saguaro cactus, arms skyward, at the base of Picacho Peak, Arizona. Located between Tucson and Phoenix, Picacho Peak is the site of the furthest-west battle to occur in the American Civil War.
Of Special Interest: This photograph is professionally printed on cold-press watercolor paper. Photographs on cold-press (bumpy) watercolor paper allows the texture of the medium (watercolor paper) to subtly ripple the color patterns of the image, creating a remarkably soft, pastel-like, calming image. Recent technology has made the production of fine-art photography on watercolor papers possible, and Sedona Green Gallery is one of the few galleries in the Southwest offering this cutting-edge, modern twist to a traditional art process.
Sunset Textured Fine Art Paper - 310gsm, a rough textured, acid-free watercolor paper, offers a natural white, matte finish and great color range providing excellent reproduction of both photography and traditional art. Though careful handling is always recommended, this paper is designed not to mar or scuff during normal handling like some other fine art papers.
